Sebastian Herkner

Sebastian Herkner is a German designer who studied at the Offenbach University of Art and Design. Passionate about craftsmanship, Sebastian Herkner is also a lover of colour and materials. Through his various works, he conveys a sensitivity and an identity that emphasizes the functionality of the product and the material. His talent is recognised by all, and he has collaborated with the most beautiful design brands: Ames, Tradition, Cappellini, ClassiCon, Dedon, Ex.t, Fontana Arte, Gubi, Linteloo, Moroso, Pulpo, Rosenthal, Schramm Werkstätten, Thonet, Wittmann and Zanotta. Herkner also knows how to adapt to a larger scale than product design by carrying out interior design projects. His work has been awarded numerous prizes: the IF prize, the Iconic prize and the Elle Deco International Design Prize (EDIDA). As guest of honour at Imm Cologne 2016, Sebastian Herkner was responsible for the design of "Das Haus". In 2019, he was named "Designer of the Year" by the Maison & Objet trade fair.
