Normal Studio
Jean-François Dingjian and Eloi Chafaï are "Normal Studio", an industrial design agency which was created in 2006. Student then trainee of Jean-François Dingjian, Eloi Chafaï joins his teacher to form this tandem which shares the same sensibility and the same vision of design. They attach particular importance to the manufacturing process which allows them to be inspired to create. This is how in 2008 they used TOLIX's know-how to give new impetus to the brand. Normal Studio will then take over the artistic direction of the French brand from 2007 to 2013. Many of their pieces are still edited today by TOLIX, including the Diamond collection, the POP shelves, the KIDS collection and the Tréteaux Y.
In 2009, the duo won numerous awards, including the Elle déco design award, the VIA Label for the TOLIX "Surfaces" collection and the Designer's days Entreprise / Designer Award for the exemplary nature of their collaboration with TOLIX. In addition, the 2010 Designer of the Year Award at the Now! de Maison & Objet trade fair. Some of their works are exhibited in the collections of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs (MAD), the Fonds National d'Art Contemporain and the Centre Georges Pimpidou.
